About

I'm H.E.A. Lawton Flatters, an aspiring playwright in high school. I've spent the last year conducting extensive research in archives and writing draft after draft of my play. Saint Dymphna's Ward chronicles the experience of two women in mental heath institutions, one in a Victorian asylum, and the other in a modern-day psych ward.

I've just booked a venue at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, and am so excited to have this amazing opportunity to share my play with a larger audience. This project has been such a rewarding journey, from the initial research to finally needing funding for the venue, housing, and airfare for my actors in order to make my professional debut
